话说这周的某一天,我唱Hickory dickory dock逗她笑,唱到第二段,the mouse ran up the clock, the clock struck two, the mouse said… September Notes from the nurseryIsabelle has started to really enjoy coming out in the garden, exploring, crawling around and having fun. Isabelle has continued to enjoy the garden more and more. She has been getting around the garden more too! Crawling around the plants and grass, and over to the sand pit. Isabelle enjoys picking and pulling the grass up outside. Exploring the sand and been pushed around the garden in her push chair.
11 September 2009 I put Isabelle’s shoes on to go outside in the garden. When I put her down in the garden at first she spent a long time looking at the bottom of her shoes, pointing at the pictures with her first finger and all of her fingers. She then crawled over to the plants and started picking up some leaves, but then also went back to exploring her shoes. Isabelle in the quiet side this morning enjoying playing with the small boxes, she picked some of the boxes up and placed them into the dolls house, then taking them back out. She also spent some time holding a box and exploring it with her mouth, chewing on it. Isabelle this morning has been pulling herself up using the low furniture. Going up onto her knees with great confidences and sometimes only needing support with one hand. Isabelle would then sit back down again and then would pull herself back up as before. Isabelle pulled herself up on to her knees several times, one time after that she pulled herself up to standing and then crawled away. Isabelle crawled up to the tent in the quiet side of the nursery. Three children were in the tent. They all started talking to Isabelle, with her smiling and laughing back to them. All of the children were saying to Isabelle to come in and after some time she did. She got half way into the door way and crawled off again. Isabelle then crawled away but kept coming back. Isabelle exploring shredded paper Isabelle has been really interested in paper and pen, whenever she see any on the floor she crawls straight over to start exploring. She has also shown an interest in ripping the paper up that she finds. So I set up a tray with shredded papers for her to explore. Isabelle started to explore really quickly, kicking her legs, moving her arms up and down. She also spent some time picking up bits of shredded paper and putting it back down again. By Corinne
15 September 2009 Music and Blocks I placed a tin on the floor and Isabelle crawled over and began banging the top her her hands. I took out the shakes, Isabelle had 2 and shook them as I sang some songs. She was also watching Xavier closely, very vocal. Xavier began to build some towers with small wooden blocks. Isabelle would knock them down. Xavier found this very funny, so kept building. They played together for about 10 minutes. Isabelle then moved across to play with another child who was also building and knocked their towers down too. Lots of laughing and very vocal, calling out and clapping when others clapped. I placed the camera at my side, Isabelle took it and pressed the button, resulting in this picture. By Claire
Water play with Levi Isabelle loved splashing in the water today with Levi, getting herself and him very wet. They were taking it in turns to splash each other. While they were playing in the water together, there was lots of smiling, laughing and taking to one another going on. Isabelle also started moving her legs back and forth towards the end of this experience. By Corinne August Notes from the nursery4 August 2009 Isabelle Exploring a Wooden Treasure Basket 04/08/09 Isabelle has really enjoyed exploring her wooden treasure basket. She enjoys taking things out of the basket and exploring them with her hands. She has also started to take a few things from the basket to her mouth. She has really enjoyed exploring the wooden necklace which she kept going back to.
9 August 2009 Isabelle having lunch At meal times Isabelle sits on a little chair with straps at the table with the other children from our family group, Corinne and Claire. Isabelle needs someone to feed her but she also has begun to pick up bits of food from the table to explore with her hands. Isabelle has cooled boiled water to drink from a cup with a lid. Isabelle starting to pick up the beaker herself and having a drink. Isabelle is trying the lunches more and more, and always enjoys her fruit or yogurt for pudding afterwards.
12 August 2009 Water play At first Isabelle was not too sure about the water in the tray, for a few minutes she just looked at the water. She then took one hand and put it into the water, moving her hand backwards and forwards along the bottom of the tray. She then did this with both hands. She then did some splashing, taking her hands in and out of the tray. Isabelle did lots of splashing getting her face and body wet.
14 August 2009 Isabelle first exploring water and then water with corks in it. Again Isabelle really enjoyed exploring the water. Straight away she started splashing with her hands. With Isabelle splashing she got her face and body wet. As Isabelle was splashing, she also made more bubbles in the water, with these bubbles that she made she started to try and pop them, while doing this she showed lots of concentration as she was poping the bubbles. I then added some corks to the water, which Isabelle liked to pick up and then drop back down into the water. As she continued to splash it also made the corks move around the tray. As they did this, she would watch where they would go. Above by Corinne
17 August 2009 Isabelle now pulls herself up to the sitting position in her cot, by pulling on the bars to gain leverage. By Claire
20 August 2009 Water play Isabelle really enjoyed water play with Flora. She liked splashing in the water and making bubbles. She also splashed Flora back when Flora splashed her and took a lot of interest in the boats. When she was pulled/taken out of the water she tried to pull herself back in! By Rosie
21 August 2009 Painting Isabelle really enjoyed exploring the paint. She used her hands and feet to explore. Isabelle got into the paint and started exploring with her hand straight away. She then made lots of marks with the paint on her legs and then onto the paper. Isabelle while sat down moved her foot into the tray and started exploring. I then stood her up so that she could put both feet in, this she really enjoyed. She then made lots of marks onto the paper.
Isabelle sleeping in a cot At nursery Isabelle sleeps in a cot. At sleep times she is put into her cot and covered up with a blanket and has her teddy next to her. Some background music is put on. Isabelle is then patted to sleep. By Corinne
24 August 2009 I laid Isabelle down for her nap and turned round to turn on the CD player. By the time I turned back, Isabelle had pulled herself up to standing. Isabelle spent a lot of time on her hands and knees today, moving forwards from time to time, beginning to crawl. By Claire
26 August 2009 I set up various rattles, soft toys, shakers and plastic toys for Isabelle and also a wooden heuristic basket. I laid them out and sat Isabelle in the middle. She looked at what was on the floor and turned towards the wooden objects and began to pick them up. Shaking the beads, banging the pots together, as you can see in the picture, and grabbing many items, looking at and touching them. Isabelle completely ignored the plastic toys.
27 August 2009 Lots of crawling – moving confidently around room on hands and knees, sitting from time to time in between. City of Life and Death。 |
